From the south:
From the A1 northbound take the 2nd left exit onto the A66 at the Scotch Corner roundabout and join the M6 signposted The North, Carlisle. Continue forward onto the A74 (M). Leave the motorway and merge into the A75 signposted South West Scotland, Dumfries, Stranraer. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A780 and continue until you have the option to take a left turn onto the A781. Then from Dockhead get onto the A756 signposted for A75 Stranraer. Turn left onto the A710 signposted Solway Coast. Cavens is just a minute or so further on on the A710.
From the north:
From Glasgow take the M74 south and from Edinburgh take the A702 south
to join the M74. Leave the M74 at junction 15 and join the A701. Then
join the A780 and finally the A710 to Kirkbean. To reach us follow the
A710 'Solway Coast road' south from Dumfries for 12 miles, passing through
New Abbey and on to Kirkbean. Once in Kirkbean Village, the driveway
to Cavens is clearly signposted on the left.
